“Faith Walks Here,” is the theme of the Taebo Defense 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk set for tomorrow, Saturday, October 3, at the Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The inaugural walk last year celebrated the journey of the Taebo Queen herself Veronika Matautia-Mortenson who, at the time, was undergoing cancer treatment in New Zealand.
Now fully recovered she is sharing her message of beating cancer and giving hope to those with cancer and their families.
Veronika says, “The walk is not just for me. It is for everyone who has been affected by Breast Cancer, those beautiful souls we’ve lost, those still bravely fighting and our faithful survivors.”
Showing that cancer hasn’t slowed her down any, the Taebo Queen will assist her daughter Talaleomalie with a short session of Taebo Defense at the end of the walk.
The walk starts at 6 a.m., light refreshments will be served and there’ll be an educational booth on cancer awareness. The public is invited.
