The Tauese P.F.Sunia Ocean Center in Utulei is reopened to the public Saturday, February 21.
The center was closed for nearly one year for much needed facilities updates, maintenance, and renovation. The sanctuary team also used that time to address community needs based on a community survey from the Sanctuary Advisory Council interpretive working group, which asked local stakeholders what they would like to see more of from the Ocean Center.
Gabby Faaiuaso, the chair of the Sanctuary Advisory Council says visitors will enjoy some new exhibits like a humpback whale display and underwater sounds.
