A woman died from multiple stab wounds on Monday night in Lepuapua.
Commissioner of Public Safety Taaga Saite Moliga said the case is being treated as a homicide and is being investigated by the Criminal and Investigations Division. The victim was in her 40s. A female suspect has been arrested.
The Commissioner confirmed that both the victim and the suspect were known drug users.
Witnesses told KHJ News that there was a fight between the deceased and two females Monday night in front of the Assembly of God Church in Lepuapua. The victim was stabbed in the back and chest area.
The female suspect is to be charged before the 48-hour limit for detention without an arrest warrant is up.
