
Dengue fever continues to spread in the territory and residents are being urged to take preventive measures to protect themselves from mosquitoes which carry the virus.
The Department of Health officially declared a dengue fever outbreak in July of last year, setting off an aggressive mosquito spraying campaign out in villages and public facilities such as schools. Clean up efforts territory-wide included the collection of junk vehicles from across the island.
