US donates medical equipment for Faleolo Hospital

The US Embassy in Apia had donated more than $16,000 in medical equipment to the Samoa Ministry of Health to support patient case at Faleolo Hospital.

The donated equipment includes four hospital beds and infant warmer which will assist hospital staff in caring for patients including newborns and vulnerable infants.

During Pacific Partnership 2025 the US Government completed repairs at Faleolo Hospital aimed at improving hospital facilities and enhancing the quality of care for patients. These efforts are part of the US broader commitment to strengthening health systems and emergency resources across the Pacific.

In addition to infrastructure repairs and equipment support, the US Government has been actively involved in medical outreach projects in Samoa including those conducted during Pacific Partnership 2025 and the US Army’s Soifua Manuia Medical Missions.

The United States has also facilitated the delivery of medical supplies to support Samoa’s response to public health needs. including assistance provided during the dengue fever outbreak.
