Miss American Samoa Tofoipupu Unutoa departed Wednesday for the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant in Fiji.
BlueSky Communications hosted a send off for her and her 18 member contingent at the airport, with dancing by the Malualii Dance Academy and well wishes from BlueSky CEO, Mr. Tangavel Barlen Lutchmoodoo.
Director of the American Samoa Visitors Bureau Taimalelagi Minnie Tuia and the Director of the ARPA Office where Tofoi works, Puialii James Faumuina and staff were also at the airport to wish Tofoi all the best for the regional pageant.
Before saying her goodbyes, Tofoi shared her thoughts about the pageant with KHJ News.

Tofoi said she will represent American Samoa with pride and thanks the whole territory for their prayers and well wishes.
A BlueSky team is traveling with the Miss American Samoa contingent to Fiji and will live stream the main pageant activities. The crowing takes place on February 14, Fiji time which is February 13 our time. The other contestants are from PNG, Tonga, Kiribati, Cook Islands, Fiji and Samoa.
