Commissioner of Public Safety Taaga Saite Moliga says he’s awaiting the investigation report of the incident in which three off duty police officers are alleged to have assaulted a man in Leloaloa early this month.
The commissioner said the family of the victim had asked to withdraw their complaint after an apology was made by the alleged assailants.
But he said this has not stopped the investigation and assured that if evidence proves wrong doing by the officers, they will be charged.
For now the officers have been assigned to desk jobs.
