
The Chair of the House Retirement Committee Rep Trude Ledoux-Sunia on Thursday reported on unpaid contributions of the ASG semi-autonomous agencies to the American Samoa Government Employees Retirement Fund.
According to information provided to by the Retirement Office, the American Samoa Power Authority is current with its contributions.
But not the American Samoa Community College and LBJ Hospital. The college owes $1,286,920.60 in employer contributions and $255,521.63 in employee contributions.
The LBJ Hospital owes $321,810 in employer contributions and $137,733 in employee contributions.
This amount is separate from the $21.7 million that ASG owes to the ASGERF.
