Pacific Horizons School (PHS) is pleased to announce a generous $10,000 donation from the Lealaifuaneva Peter E. Reid Charitable Foundation in support of the PHS Giving Campaign. The school received the donation on Monday, November 17.

PHS said in a press release this contribution represents a significant investment in the school’s mission to provide high-quality educational opportunities for students in American Samoa.

The PHS Giving Campaign was launched this year to help secure the school’s long-term future amid recent changes to federal Consolidated Grant funding.

This grant offset approximately 15% of the school’s operating costs. With new restrictions now in place, PHS faces a deficit that poses challenges to maintaining its programs.

The Giving Campaign invites community partners to serve as “Anchor Donors,” aligning with the school’s nautical theme, by helping PHS reach its $50,000 goal. This support will directly strengthen the school’s general fund and ensure continued access to high-quality, well-rounded education for future generations.

Pacific Horizons School extends its warmest thanks to the Lealaifuaneva Peter E. Reid Charitable Foundation for its partnership and philanthropy. Their support helps make it possible for PHS to continue building a strong, innovative, and student-centered future.
