
Sea level fluctuations and strong ocean currents are expected tonight as a result of an 8.7 magnitude earthquake, which occurred off the east coast of Kamchatka, Russia, today.
The National Weather Service issued a tsunami advisory for American Samoa around 3 this afternoon.
An advisory means strong currents and waves may be dangerous to those in or very near the water.
