Samoa Airways’ American Samoa Office has assured the public that flights have returned to normal on the inter-Samoa route and to Manu’a.

Earlier this week, the airline was down to one aircraft after the recently overhauled aircraft 5W-FAW was grounded due to a software related issue. At the same time, a second Twin Otter was undergoing a scheduled engine change. This resulted in only one aircraft operating flights between the two Samoas and to Manu’a, with service running from early morning until 11 p.m.

Staff at the Tafuna Office of Samoa Airways said the flight schedule had returned to normal as of Tuesday.
