ASPA cash power services restored after lengthy internet issue

After a lengthy internal internet issue, ASPA’s Cashpower services were restored Monday night. Since Sunday evening, customers were unable to buy debit tokens from ASPA’s website, forcing many  to ration their remaining credits from the weekend. Additionally, since ASPA uses voice-over-IP services, their 699-1234 line was also down during the outage.

As part of ASPA’s contingency plan, emergency cell phone numbers were activated and posted on their Facebook page. Customers with little to no credit remaining on their meters were able to get tokens released to them and then later applied to their bill to avoid any service interruptions.

As of news time, ASPA’s landline and ASPOWER.com portal have been restored.
