Justin Tuiasosopo completes term as CEO of Bluesky

The Chief Executive Officer of Bluesky Communications since 2021, Justin Tuiasosopo, ends his tenure as head of the local telecommunications company today, June 30.

A press release from Bluesky states that Tuiasosopo’s contract as CEO has reached its scheduled completion at the close of the company’s fiscal year, effective, June 30, 2025.

Mr. Tuiasosopo is departing on good terms following a successful tenure.

Under Mr. Tuiasosopo’s leadership, Bluesky achieved significant milestones.

These included the comprehensive upgrading and modernization of its entire network, notably launching 5G services in partnership with Ericsson. He was also instrumental in establishing stronger government and community partnerships, fostering vital collaborations that benefited the American Samoan people. Furthermore, his tenure saw significant improvements in employee engagement, cultivating a positive and productive work environment for the Bluesky team, and securing financial stability for the company.

He has been instrumental in shaping the organization and positively impacting the lives of countless individuals in the American Samoan community, as well as Bluesky employees. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Tuiasosopo said, “It has been an honor and a privilege to lead Bluesky as CEO over the past five years and work alongside such a talented and dedicated team.

“I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together for the territory and Pacific communities during my time here. I have full confidence in the organization’s continued success and look forward to seeing its future growth.”

The Board of Directors has initiated a recruitment search for Justin’s successor. In the interim, Mr. Aloiamoa Anesi, Chief Technical Officer, will assume leadership responsibilities as Acting CEO to ensure a smooth transition.
