As of Friday morning, three out of six men detained during a police raid in Nu’uuli on Thursday, June 19—Juneteenth holiday—are behind bars.

Commissioner of Public Safety Taaga Saite Moliga says the other three were released, but police investigations continue.

Commenting on the gaming machines that were seized during the raid, the Commissioner said while the business was operating as an arcade, it appears the devices were used for gambling. He deduced this based on the large sum of money that was found, estimated at around $40,000.

Also found during the raid was a substantial amount of crystal methamphetamine. The three suspects who are being detained were in possession of ice.
