
Police conducted an early morning raid at a building in Nu’uuli yesterday. Six people, including two Chinese nationals, were taken in for questioning, A substantial amount of cash, crystal methamphetamine, and eight gaming machines were seized from the building.
Commissioner of Public Safety Taaga Saite Moliga confirmed the police raid and said it was successful. However, he did not want to disclose further details, citing that police were still investigating. He said the raid had been awaiting a search warrant, which DPS first applied for nearly a month ago.
Warrants of arrest were being processed before the 72-hour deadline to hold suspects without an arrest warrant expired.
