The American Samoa Visitors Bureau, in collaboration with the Territorial Administration on Aging (TAOA), is hosting a “Crafting Success” Workshop on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the TAOA Center in Tafuna.
The workshop offers residents and visitors the chance to take part in hands-on sessions that not only preserve Samoan cultural heritage but also promote practical skills that can lead to new economic opportunities.
Participants will receive instruction from some of American Samoa’s renowned local artisans—many of whom showcased their work at the territory at the 2024 FestPac. Scheduled sessions include music, weaving, wood carving, and siapo making. Visitors Bureau representative Antonina Paselio says no pre-registration or special documents are needed to participate.

The workshop will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the TAOA Center in Tafuna.
Two one-hour sessions will be offered, allowing attendees to explore multiple art forms.
