There were ten applicants for the position of CEO of the American Samoa Telecommunications Authority.
This is according to the Chairman of the ASTCA Board of Directors, Avamua Dave Haleck. He said that the board began conducting interviews for the position this week.
Asked when they would likely make a selection, the chairman said they would know once the interviews are completed.
There were also off-island applicants in the pool.
Applications for the position closed on May 29.
Former CEO Chuck Leota is continuing as Acting CEO for the time being.
