The American Samoa Rugby Union, in a special meeting held Thursday, endorsed and approved the nomination of Lt. Governor Pulumataala Ae Ae Jr. as its Chairman of the Board.
Union President Falefata Moli Lemana said having a high-level government leader as chairman of the local rugby union elevates the status and recognition of the union in regional and international circles.
Falefata said Pulumataala has been a strong supporter of sports development, and the union is very pleased that he is willing to take on this leadership role.
