Governor Pulaalii Nikolao Pula issued the following Easter Message:
As we unite in the spirit of Easter, may we be reminded of the power of love, faith, and new beginnings. Easter invites us to reflect on the infinite love of our Heavenly Father, who sent His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem and uplift all of humankind through His Atonement, His sacrifice on Calvary, and His glorious Resurrection. Because of Him, hope is eternal, and peace is possible—both in this life and in the life to come.
In the Savior’s perfect example—His compassion, His sacrifice, and His triumph over death—we find strength to face life’s challenges, courage to lift one another, and purpose in serving beyond ourselves. These are the same values woven into our way of life: love for family, respect for others, and a commitment to care for those around us.
Easter invites us to pause and reflect on the blessings we share—the blessing of faith, the strength of family, and the bonds of unity that hold our community together. In every act of service, in every quiet moment of prayer, and in every effort to uplift a neighbor, we honor the life and love of Jesus Christ.
On behalf of Lieutenant Governor Pulumataala and our families, I offer warm Easter greetings to the people of American Samoa. May this season fill your hearts with peace, your homes with joy, and your lives with the enduring hope found in the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Let us rejoice together in the knowledge that because He lives, we have every reason to hope, to love, and to move forward with faith.
