
Last week, then Acting Governor Pulumataala Ae Ae Jr. appointed members to the Advisory Council for the Protection and Advocacy of Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
The Council is to provide a voice for individuals with developmental disabilities and to ensure that agreed goals and priorities are achieved.
A March 19 memo from the Acting Governor said the Council members will serve two-year terms and their appointments are retroactive to February 25.
The members are:

- Dr. Herbert Boat -Service Provider (SPED)
- Edward Lotulelei-Consumer
- Iokapeta Tavita-Consumer
- Keziah Atofau-Community Member
- Maugaalii Tavita-Parent
- Norma Smith-Community Member
- Onolata Saleapaga-Parent
- Ronald Philip Turituri-Family Member
- Sala Pauu-Parent
- Sandra Scanlan-Service Provider (PCSN)
- Tafaimamao Tua Tupuola-Parent
