The Samoa Independent Seventh Day Adventist (SISDAC) has donated $200,000 tālā to the Faatuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi Party.

Talamua Media reports the donation was presented by the President of the Church, Pastor Alaimaoana Willie Papu to the FAST Party Leader, Laaulia Leuatea Schmidt in a special ceremony at the Anavamoana Hotel at Vaitele which is owned by the Church.

Speaking at the ceremony, the SISDAC President stated that there is a connection and similarities in the SISDAC church spiritual vision and that of the FAST Party in standing up and pursuing honesty and righteousness and to unite in faith in God.

Referring to the political divisions and problems the world is facing, the church president reflected on the words of the founder of the Fulton Adventist University College where he studied, who said that the greatest need of the world today is people who stand for righteousness.

He encouraged the FAST party to stand in faith and righteousness in God and that will be their strength.

The FAST Leader, Laauli stated that the party will do all it can and what can be done to ensure it will hold power to form the government in the upcoming general elections.

He acknowledged the church and its leader’s faith in the party “even though we as the majority of the FAST Party have been terminated and sidelined from any involvement in the running of the current government.”

Pastor Alaimoana also explained that making donations to various causes is not new to the church, and said that the church also made various donations to the Human Rights Protection Party (HRPP).
