
The Office of Motor Vehicles will resume issuing REAL IDs and drivers licenses on April 14.
Commissioner of Public Safety Taaga Fuega Moliga says bills have been paid, and the company supplying materials for the production of the REAL ID cards and drivers licensed has released the orders for American Samoa.
According to the commissioner, the last time that OMV issued REAL ID cards and drivers licenses was in August of last year.
He said a representative of the company supplying the cards and materials was in the territory, recently, and will be returning in the first week of April to help prepare for the issuance of the REAL ID cards and drivers licenses.
OMV will begin issuing the REAL ID cards and Drivers licenses on April 14 and all those who were issued temporary licenses or receipts should report to OMV starting on that day to pick up their documents. Taaga said they hope to produce 30 cards per day.
