As the 39th Legislature winds down its first regular session, the last day being Friday, two nominations have been submitted by the Governor for confirmation.

These are the appointments of Tuasivi John Marsh as Commissioner of the Office of Financial Institutions and Brett Butler as a member of the American Samoa Economic Development Authority Board.

This would be Marsh’s second term as Commissioner of OFI.

Butler is appointed to the ASEDA Board in his capacity as the Executive Advisor for Finance and Financial Officer for the Office of the Governor.

Governor Pulaalii Nikolao Pula informed the Fono leaders that should Butler leave both positions, he will be expected to resign from the ASEDA Board. Otherwise, his term will expire two years from the date of his confirmation.
