After seeing renovations being carried out at the McDonald’s building in Fagatogo some have asked if the fast food restaurant is reopening its branch on that side of the island.
President and CEO of McDonald’s American Samoa, Dolores Tautolo says, “No, McDonald’s Fagatogo is not reopening.”
She explained they are just doing major maintenance to the building to prevent it from being run down.
McDonald’s Fagatogo was opened in November of 2005, and closed on September 30, 2021.
In a previous interview, with Tautolo, she said they hoped to lease out the building and some agencies of ASG had made inquiries. She said, at the time, that a handful of restaurants had also shown interest.
