Bluesky Communications announces partnership with Starlink as an authorized reseller, bringing high-speed satellite internet to underserved and unserved areas in American Samoa, including the Manu’a Islands.
A press release from the phone company says, that with Starlink’s low-earth orbit satellite technology, Bluesky will provide download speeds of up to 350 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 40 Mbps.
This will enable seamless streaming, video conferencing, and other online activities, helping to improve connectivity for remote areas and businesses that rely on reliable internet for operations.
“Our focus will be connecting businesses in outer islands where our connectivity is limited, and to offer it as a redundancy solution for our Corporate customers. This is part of our ongoing commitment to bring the latest technology solutions into our territory, connecting our pacific communities around the world,” said Justin Tuiasosopo, CEO of Bluesky Communications.
Bluesky currently offers the Starlink Enterprise Kit and the Flat High Performance Kit with various service plans tailored to different business needs. This partnership underscores Bluesky’s commitment to ensuring that all communities and businesses across American Samoa have access to reliable connectivity, even in the most remote locations.
