Forteen new members inducted in Alpha Eta Chapter at ASCC

Last Thursday, the Alpha Eta chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta at the American Samoa Community College inducted 14 new members.

They are: Angelina Taliaoa, Jayme Mageo, Antonia Chong Wong, Jazell Harmon, Celestine Salavea-Mao, Jeaneidra Taala, Devinity Savusa, Mayalice Ume, Fuatiamaivailelei R. Nash-Cummings, Medalene Paletaoga, Heavenly Tuaau, Misionare-Lei Feleti, Hosanna Tiumalu and Tamaralaina Ieremia.

The ceremony was led by the Chapter President – Daphne Puni, assisted by officers Ruta Soliai (Vice President), Tauva Launiu (Secretary), Faatele Toaitiiti (Treasurer), Faafofola Faaita (Historian), and Celestine Salavea-Mao (Marshal).

With the fourth installment of Alpha Eta membership, the ASCC chapter advisor, Mrs. Tauiliili-Mahuka, described a few of its planned activities for the spring semester.

“This semester we hope to complete the fourth volume of our “Pacific Voices” literary journal of poetry, prose and art, as well as host our third spring festival to highlight original student poetry and other literary writing from the journal.” Every year, the Alpha Eta chapter also makes a contribution to the SKD national project, which this year is the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.”
