High Talking Chief Taaga Saite Moliga is now cleared to serve as Commissioner of Public Safety, while Taeaotui Punaofo Tilei has received the green light to be the Director of Public Works in the administration of Governor Pulaalii Nikolao Pula and Lt. Governor Pulu Ae Ae Jr.
Taaga was unanimously confirmed by the House of Representatives Friday by a vote of 17-0. Taaga was questioned by the House Public Safety Committee chaired by Rep. Avagafono Vaimaga Maiava on Thursday.
Taeaotui was also confirmed by the House Friday by a vote of 16-1. This followed his confirmation hearing before the Public Works Committee, chaired by Rep. Ape Mike Asifoa earlier Friday. The two passed confirmation by the Senate, earlier in the week.
