Those who ventured out to check on the palolo last night were rewarded.
We checked in with Tisa Faamuli of Alega Beach where about 70 palolo fishers waited for the delicacy.
Tisa said the sea was rough and strong winds washed palolo to one corner of the beach.
She said everyone who was there caught some palolo to take home. Among the palolo hunters were crew of aircraft parked at Pago Pago International Airport after taking leaders to the CHOGM meeting in Samoa.
It’s not known if that was the main palolo rise or the worm will appear again tonight.
Tisa says they will be out waiting for the palolo again tonight.
