The South Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO), together with the American Samoa Visitors Bureau (ASVB), have announced a training program to be held in the territory next month.
The training is aimed at strengthening the skills and knowledge of the ASVB staff and enhance the quality of tourism media and marketing services across the territory.
Mr. Robert Rickman, a distinguished expert in media and photography with over two decades of experience in the field will be the instructor.
Scheduled for Sept. 19-23, 2024, the training will cover photography, video and audio, and editing, tailored specifically for American Samoa.
Taimalelagi Minnie Tuia, Director of the American Samoa Visitors Bureau said, “We are excited to build capacity within our ASVB team to be able to support our local tourism industry.
“By working closely with the South Pacific Tourism Organization, we are committed to fostering a skilled workforce that can drive the growth of our tourism industry, ultimately benefiting our community and economy,” she stated.
