Members of Samoa’s biggest church, the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa (C.C.C.S.) started its annual Fono Tele Monday at the Malua Theological College grounds presided over by chairman Rev. Esera Auatama Esera.

Hundreds converged at Malua last week for committee meetings, including the women’s chapter before the Fono Tele which is the governing body of the church.

Guided by the theme “Sanctified by the Holy Spirit to build the Church of Christ,” the Fono Tele will hear reports from the church committees including the Annual Budget 2025/2025 from the powerful Finance Committee.

The delegates will first go through the resolutions from last year’s conference before they proceed to various pending issues raised by various districts and sub-districts in Samoa and abroad.

Members of the church from all over Samoa, New Zealand, Australia, the United States of America, Hawai’i and American Samoa are in Samoa for the event.

The final order of business on Friday is the election of a new deputy chair after the current deputy steps up to chair the Fono Tele until the next meeting next year.
