General B. Chance Saltzman, Chief of Space Operations of the United States Space Force, and his wife Jennifer made a refueling stop over at Pago Pago International Airport last Thursday.
They were enroute back to Washington DC after meetings in South Korea and Australia.
They were greeted at the airport by US Air Force Liaison team member, Fa’alagiga Nina Tua’au-Glaudé of the Afio Mai Ground Support Services.
General Saltzman is the second officer to hold the title of United States Space Force (USSF) Chief of Space Operations.
He is a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and serves as the senior uniformed Space Force officer responsible for the organization, training, and equipping of all organic and assigned space forces serving in the United States and overseas.
During their brief stopover they were able to do some shopping at the Duty Free Shop, and have a look around the airport before continuing their flight home.
