
Representatives of Southern Oregon University are here this week to tell the story of OSU, and why it’s a good fit for students from American Samoa.
Currently 53 students from the territory are enrolled, 21 of whom are in their first year.
The team has been visiting high schools and are also holding application meetings at Sadie’s by the Sea. Thursday’s session is from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Then on Sunday is a parents session at the Fagatogo CCCAS Hall at 6pm.
SOU’s Assistant Director of Communications Miranda Stiles says they try to make a university education affordable by offering in state rates to local students.
