The Methodist Church Samoa, to which local Methodist parishes belong, has re-elected Reverend Faulalo Leti Paaga of Nu’uuli, American Samoa to remain as president. General Secretary, Rev. Dr. Eteuati Epa Tuioti and Treasurer Rev. Ellice Soliola have also been re-elected.

General Secretary Rev. Tuioti said the conference voted for all three members of the board to continue their roles for 2024-2025.

He said one of the many achievements of the church throughout 2022-2023 is the establishment of many Methodist church branches overseas.

The missionaries are due to submit their reports to the conference later this week.

Rev. Leti was sworn in as the Church’s new President in 2019 with his wife, Fialelei, who also began her term as the new President of the Au Uso Fealofani, or the Methodist Women’s Council.

The current Secretaries for the Methodist Church and Au Uso Fealofani, Rev. Tuioti and wife, Maselina Tuioti, who previously ministered at the Methodist Church in Nuuuli, will also continue their roles as the church and Au-Uso Fealofani secretaries; and the same goes for the treasurer, Rev. Soliola and his wife, Eileen Soliola.
