Local high school football players were in for a treat Saturday to be coached, even for just a few hours, by Polynesians who’ve made it big in the NFL. Think Seiuli Jesse Sapolu, Maa Tanuvasa, Reno Mahe and Galu Tagovailoa, father of Tua Tagovailoa.

The legends were here as part of their Polynesian Hall of Fame football clinics, which continued on to Samoa and New Zealand.
Players from Fagaitua, Samoana, Tafuna, Leone, Vo-Tech and Marist Faasao, were eager to glean all they could from the pros.
Seiuli Jesse Sapolu and Maa Tanuvasa said, Saturday’s clinic was a first step in getting players from the territory on track for football scholarships and a career in the sport.
