A successful businesswoman from Samoa, Rosita Slaven, has started a new realty business in American Samoa.
Slaven is a real estate professional with many years of experience in Samoa. She is expanding her business Samoa Realty to include American Samoa. She explained that after several years sorting out licensing and other details, her first order of business is to locate people with properties they wish to sell, rent or lease. The business will then advertise those properties thus providing a full service agency for anyone wishing to buy, sell or rent property or space.
She noted that in American Samoa, many land sales transaction are handles by lawyers. This, too, was the case in Samoa for many years until realtors began operating in the islands.
