Some government agencies started their Mothers Day celebrations early with luncheons and dinners Thursday, but most workplaces will treat their mothers today.
Stores, florists, and hair salons are bracing for a spike in their sales.
It’s also a busy weekend for hotels and restaurants as husband, children and families, show the lady of the house their affection.
In his Mothers Day message, Governor Lemanu said, “While we will never be able to repay our mothers or fully convey our gratitude for all that these remarkable women do, we pray for infinite blessing over their lives.
“Today, and always, we celebrate and acknowledge the significance of a mother’s love, sacrifice and strength. We honor these extraordinary women who stand as the strongest pillars in our lives.”
The Governor on behalf of Lt. Governor Talauega and their families wishes all the mothers of American Samoa a blessed Mothers Day.
Congresswoman Uifaatalai Amata says, “On this Mother’s Day, thank you for all you have done for your children!
