Governor Lemanu, yesterday, appointed Aoelua Solomona Auelua as acting Director of the Office of Public Information/KVZK-TV.
Aoelua, currently the Governor’s Senior Executive Assistant, takes over as acting head of the government TV station after former director Aaron Hall resigned.
Hall has not disclosed his reasons for resigning.
He said he had confidence that the TV station was in good hands with the roles and responsibilities established for many of the staff.
Aoelua was the Governor’s initial appointee to head the government station, and Hall was deputy director at the start of the Lemanu Talauega Administration.
But after Aoelua was rejected by the Senate, he was named Senior Executive Assistant to the Governor while Hall was appointed director.
Hall was confirmed in September, last year.
His resignation comes at one of the busiest times for KVZK-TV, coverage of the Flag Day celebration and all associated activities.
