As part of its plan to dramatically improve insurance accessibility in the Pacific Islands, Tower has launched its signature self-service platform, My Tower, in American Samoa.
In August 2022, Tower announced that as part of rebranding its National Pacific Insurance products and offices in American Samoa, Tonga and Samoa, the insurer would also be bringing new digital resources to all three countries—like online quote to buy capabilities and the My Tower platform.
Now live in American Samoa, My Tower is the first insurance platform in the Pacific that allows people to pay their insurance premiums; lodge a claim; get a quote; update their personal details; purchase a policy; and view their motor vehicle, house and contents policies, all in one simple online portal.
The launch of My Tower American Samoa is a significant milestone in Tower’s goal to increase insurance accessibility in the Pacific, says Tower Head of Digital Distribution Veilawa Rereiwasaliwa. “My Tower offers a seamless online experience for Tower customers, allowing them to manage their policies, make claims, and more, without the need to visit a physical branch.”
Customers wanting to insure their home, contents or car, can now do it all online, on-the go or from the comfort of their home or office. “Of course, our local branch and friendly, helpful team are still here, so we can still cater to all customers’ needs,” says Rereiwasaliwa.
My Tower American Samoa represents part of a $7m NZD investment in technology upgrades for Tower’s Pacific business across Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, Samoa, American Samoa, the Cook Islands and the Solomon Islands. March has been a milestone month for the business with My Tower going live in American Samoa, Samoa and the Cook Islands, signaling the completion of the rollout across the Pacific, less than one year since first launching.
