Director of HPO arrested for alleged DUI

A member of the cabinet was arrested, Friday night, for allegedly Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in a government vehicle.

Tuimalo Elvis Zodiacal, Director of the Historic Preservation Office, spent time behind bars at the Territorial Correctional Facility, while his brand new Tundra Toyota was impounded. He was bailed out the next day.

Yesterday, Tuimalo made his initial appearance in District Court for a DUI ticket. His next court date is May 30th.

Tuimalo, formerly the Head Librarian at the American Samoa Community College, was appointed Director of the Historic Preservation Office at the start of the Lemanu Talauega administration.
