Samoa Police are treating the death of well known General Manager of TV3Samoa Aotearoa Pesamino Mayer, in the early hours of this morning, as murder.
Deputy Police Commissioner, Papalii Monalisa Tiai-Keti confirmed the death with Samoa Observer, and said she died at her home.
“We’re currently investigating that case and police are treating it as a homicide at the moment, and investigations are ongoing,” She said.
Police believe foul play was involved.
An announcement from the General Manager of Radio Polynesia, Papali’itele Olga Keil, informed of the passing but no other information was given.
It is believed that Ms. Mayer was discovered dead at her home, in Ululoloa, with bruises on her body.
Meanwhile, messages of sympathies have flowed on social media from friends and loved ones connected to the radio presenter, who has been involved in Samoan media for more than seven years now.
The popular DJ and Media Personality is believed to have been involved with management of BBE Vaiala Sevens team, and contributed in many ways to the team.
Her family is in shock and have yet to make a statement on her passing.
