The National Weather Service (NWS) has warned that there is no safe place outside when a thunderstorm is in the area.
For the second consecutive day now, thunder and lightning have roared and lit up the island.
According to Meteorologist Jane Allen, the thunder and lightning are associated with a trough over the Samoa island group which will linger until tomorrow.
She said, people should go inside as soon as they hear the rolling thunder and use of electronic devices, such as cell phones, is discouraged.

The National Weather Service also issued a flood warning after heavy rain this afternoon.
