On Tuesday, November 22, the COVID-19 Task Force discussed the state of COVID-19 in the territory, next steps for the Task Force, and the official re-opening of borders to include cruise ship tourism.

For the week of November 14-20th, Department of Health Dr. Elizabeth Lauvao reported 3 currently active cases, 1 new positive case, 1 released from isolation and 1 that was treated.

Since the suspension of the pre-travel approvals and vaccination mandates last week, no major issues have been reported for incoming passengers and relevant ASG departments.

Recent data, on incoming travelers from November 15-22nd, show that over 800 travelers either submitted a traveler declaration online or were already previously registered on TalofaPass.

All incoming travelers are highly encouraged to complete their health surveys on the American Samoa Traveler Declarations portal (http://travelerdeclaration.as.gov) to expedite this requirement digitally. However, manual paper forms will continue to be provided to passengers upon arrival.
