DataHouse Consulting Inc. opens local office in Tafuna

DataHouse Consulting Inc., developers of the TalofaPass registry, today held a grand opening of its new office in American Samoa. The office is in the Peter Young Complex at the industrial Park in Tafuna.

A press release said DataHouse’s President, Edward Ontai, shared his excitement about bringing technology jobs to the American Samoa community.

“We’re so excited for this expansion of our business,” said Ontai,“American Samoa has so many cultural and historical ties with Hawaii, and its strategic location as a near-shore operations center supports our global expansion.”

Acting Governor Talauega Eleasalo Ale stated, “We’re happy that DataHouse has decided to set up a physical office here in the Territory and will help create tech jobs for our local people,” We congratulate Eddie and his team for today’s opening of their business in American Samoa.”

DataHouse’s American Samoa location will play a key role in moving the company closer to its vision as a top-tier global system integrator becoming a tech hub between east and west. The operations currently provide system support to assist customers with questions and troubleshoot technical problems. The new office employs American Samoa residents and provides a means for technology-related career development for the community.

DataHouse plans to host a job fair for American Samoa jobseekers on July 30, 2022, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Candidates can learn more about the company and submit resumes for local technology jobs.

At the COVID-19 pandemic’s peak, the American Samoa Government turned to DataHouse to design, develop, implement, and support TALOFAPASS, the technology platform that enables travelers to comply with American Samoa’s policies,” says the press release. “DataHouse continues to modify and support TALOFAPASS and brings personalized service and IT workforce development through the new Tafuna location.”
