Hawaiian Airlines (HAL) advises that facemasks and social distancing (6 feet), will be strictly enforced throughout the check-in process for Thursday’s flight.

ONLY confirmed travelers will be allowed at the ticket counter. Non-traveling family members are prohibited.

The ticket counter and airport entry will be secured at 8PM with no exceptions;
vehicles and/or late passengers will not be allowed through the entry point once closed.

“While we currently operate under restriction, adhering to these requirements is recommended and non-compliance will result in removal by Airport Police,” says an advisory from the airline.

Travelers are no longer required to register to enter the State of Hawaii. They just need travel documents upon check-in.

“If you have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 7-14 days and are on quarantine orders, you will be required to re-book travel for a future date — HAL will not allow travel if confirmed positive by DOH.”

DOH personnel will be on hand to manage and advise travelers who are on quarantine orders, to continue with the required isolation until cleared for travel.

Hawaiian Airlines urges, those currently under quarantine orders “to please remain home and contact their local office immediately for travel re-accommodation. All penalties will be waived until cleared for travel.”

The April 7th flight leaves Honolulu at 1:59 pm and arrives at Tafuna at 6:44 pm.
