The Department of Health is making changes to its immunization schedule.

Starting today Monday, January 24, DOH will administer routine immunization shots for ‘Back to School’ immunization and Well baby shots from Monday to Thursday, at the Well Ba1by Clinics in Leone, Tafuna, Fagaalu, and Amouli from 8 AM to 4 PM.

COVID-19 vaccines will be available only during after hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4PM to 7 PM AND all day on Fridays from 8 AM to 4 PM, at all DOH clinics.

The LBJ Tropical Medical Center continues to offer COVID-19 Vaccines on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4PM-7PM. Both Tafuna and Pago Pago DYWA vaccination sites will be closed at these times.

DOH is offering COVID-19 vaccines to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and booster doses for anyone 12 years and older who completed their second dose at least 5 months ago. Booster doses are also available to those who completed a two dose series of a WHO-approved vaccine outside of the US at least 5 months ago.

DOH reminds you to bring a picture ID and your COVID-19 vaccine card if you have already received your first dose.

Evidence about the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccination during pregnancy has been growing. These data suggest that the benefits of receiving a COVID-19 vaccine outweigh any known or potential risks of vaccination during pregnancy.

If you are preparing to travel to the mainland with the intent to return, DOH strongly advises to review important requirements on TalofaPass.as.gov

Anyone traveling to American Samoa must register on Talofa Pass at least 21 days before the scheduled flight to Pago Pago. Other requirements include purchasing a Hawaiian Airline ticket, being FULLY vaccinated if you are eligible to receive the vaccine, testing negative for COVID-three times before departing Honolulu to American Samoa, and completing a health questionnaire 24 hours before departure.
