The Covid-19 Task Force reports in its weekly press release that there was 1 positive test result and several historical positives following TEST #1 for the November 1st group of travelers from Hawaii.

The positive individual who was fully vaccinated has been isolated at a separate facility.

The results of TEST #2, conducted on Monday, November 8th all returned negative results.

Chief Epidemiologist at the Dept of Health, Dr Aifili Tufa, said that effective with this group, the quarantine period will be 10 days instead of 14 days, even with a confirmed coronavirus case.

Dr Tufa stated that the results for the second test from every Hawaiian Airlines flight have all been negative and the medical community has agreed to keep the quarantine period at 10 days so long as the positive cases are isolated in a separate facility.

Hawaiian Airlines Station Manager Tuli Fruean expressed concern over the extended ground time pilots have been experiencing with recent flights as a result of the large number of passengers requesting wheelchair assistance.

He asks the Task Force and members of the public whose family members are traveling with wheelchairs to allow Hawaiian Air to do their job with the offloading of wheelchair passengers.

318 individuals have successfully registered onto the TalofaPass system for the November 18th flight according to updates from the ASG Hawaii Office Director Tuiafono. A more accurate count of actual passengers will be available as the flight date approaches.
