OPM to audit all ASG assets

By executive order, Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga has directed the Office of Property Management (OPM) to complete an inventory of all government assets.

He has set October 31, 2021 as the deadline to complete the inventory.

This will include:

1. Fixed assists with a value of $5000 or more intended for use of a period greater than one year from date of purchase,

2. all computers and portable electronic devices, and

3. all land, and anything growing on, affixed to, or built upon land, that is, “Real Property”.

The executive order states that all government departments, offices and other agencies shall respond to OPM’s inquiries without delay.

In addition the road marshals are to assist the OPM upon the request of the Director.

An update of the progress of the inventory shall be provided to the Governor’s Chief of Staff and the Compliance Review Committee twice weekly until the final inventory is complete.
