A new emergency declaration for Covid-19 issued Friday by Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga contains no changes from the previous order. The territory remains under Code Blue.

Attorney General Fainuulelei Ala’ilima Utu had explained recently that there’s no enforcement of vaccination proof for immigration ID renewals and registration in school.

But the new order still contains the following wording,

Evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required from any person, unless that person is under the age of 12 years old or the person is not medically qualified to be vaccinated, prior to:

(a) Approval of immigration status or issuance of immigration identification cards; (b)Attending K12 school in person;
(c) Attending college classes in person; and
(d)Visiting a person at LBJ TMC, Tafuna Correctional Facility, or any in-patient residential facility.

The new emergency declaration is effective October 11 to November 10.
