A teenage girl drowned in Sogi on Saturday afternoon.
Reports from people who were at the scene said that the girl was in the water for some time but rescue efforts were hampered by rough conditions.
Reports indicate that police and EMS units arrived at the scene, and a Marine Patrol vessel got to the area where she had been swimming, but due to rough conditions noone entered the water. After she disappeared from the surface a search got underway and her body was retrieved.
KHJ News understands that the girl’s family had just moved to Leone.
