National Day of Prayer: Lord pour out your love, life, liberty

congress-2019

Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata joined in the National Day of Orayer today and issued the following statement:

“The National Day of Prayer is a beautiful yearly tradition. This year’s theme is ‘Lord, pour out your love, life and liberty.’ It is based on II Corinthians 3:17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

“An annual National Day of Prayer reminds us to look upward and trust in God above all else. We are deeply blessed to be part of this great country.

“This year we can be thankful that we’ve been spared the brunt of COVID-19 in our islands, and we can benefit from an available vaccine that has tested effectively. We can be thankful that many families are reunited or soon will be. We are optimistic of the increasing return of certain opportunities for travel, school or other activities. We should pray for wisdom for our nation’s leading decision-makers.

“Finally, we send our love and prayers to our own serving in the Armed Forces from American Samoa. God bless American Samoa and the United States on this National Day of Prayer.”
